Joe Childs is a recording artist, concert performer, independent studio owner and the director of guitar at a private academy in Buffalo, NY. His musical repertoire consists of many styles that include blues, folk, classical, rock, country and jazz standards. Joe creates smooth and subtle sound textures using both acoustic and electric.

    His unwavering dedication to his art and experience that spans over 2 decades has given Childs the ability to be versatile, able to create the perfect ambiance for any event or ceremony. Joe has been involved in many group projects that including dinner theater, an award winning country band, a pit musician for a production of CATS and most recently 2009 Buffalo Music Award Winner for Best Duo with Amanda Nagurney.

    Continuing to develop his abilities as a professional guitar player, Joe draws from his vast knowledge of musical genres such as jazz, country, blue grass, rock, world beat, and blues to bring to the stage a compilation of music by artists such as Eric Clapton, Leo Kottke, Dave Matthews, Johnny Cash, Dierks Bentley, Keb-Mo, Pink Floyd, Michael Hedges, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Gordan Lightfoot, Lyle Lovett and many more. Joe is guaranteed to bring an acoustic ambience to any surrounding that is incomparable to any other guitar player. Joe excels in venues such as country clubs, casinos, live outdoor festivals, pubs, state fairs, and county fairs. Joe is continuously sought to perform at many local weddings.
